The most active 10% of Twitter users are creating 80% of tweets. A new report from Pew Research Center sheds some light on U.S. Twitter users, including how they compare to the population as a whole in terms of age, income, and views.


  • As a successor to the polls sticker, Instagram released the quiz sticker for Stories. The new interactive sticker lets users ask multiple choice questions, offering opportunities to increase engagement and gain feedback.
  • Instagram is experimenting with hiding like counts on posts. In an effort to deprioritize "vanity" metrics, the platform is reportedly considering a change that would allow only a post's creator see how many likes that post receives.
  • Vine's co-founder shared a first look at Byte. The new app is a follow-up to the Vine app that came to an end in 2016. Byte, currently in beta, will let users record or upload short, looped vertical videos to a reverse-chronological feed.



Glossier, the makeup brand popular with Gen Z and millennials, poked fun at itself by sharing a parody video from an Instagram comedian. As a younger generation of influencers and consumers begins to embrace authenticity over perfectly curated feeds, the brand is shifting its content strategy accordingly.
