THE RUNDOWN

  • Instagram launched an emoji slider sticker. The new feature offers brands and users another way to poll their audiences and gauge sentiment.
  • Snapchat is rolling out a second redesign in a bid to win back users unhappy with its overhaul from earlier this year. Among the updates in the new layout is the separation of private messages and public Stories.
  • Facebook disclosed that with the help of AI it removed 21 million instances of nudity in Q1, aiming to increase transparency and ease brand safety concerns. Further showing just how good it is at content moderation, it also revealed that 96 percent was removed before being viewed.
