ON OUR MIND

Earlier this month, Mark Zuckerberg announced his privacy-focused vision for the future of social networking. In a new article, Likeable Chairman Dave Kerpen shares how Facebook's refocus will impact the platform and what this means for marketers.

THE RUNDOWN

  • Instagram launched a new e-commerce option called Checkout. The feature further simplifies Instagram's shopping experience by enabling users to buy products directly in the app without being directed to a brand's website.

  • Responding to the growing rise of esports, Google announced plans to launch Stadia, a new video game streaming service. Meanwhile, Snapchat is reportedly working on a standalone gaming platform of its own.
